Lori W. Allen has served as President of Profitable Practice Strategies since 1995. She acts as a practice management and profitability consultant providing her guidance, counseling, and development expertise to medical practices of all specialties nationally and internationally.
Lori has consulted for over 200 practices and teaches seminars throughout the United States. She focuses on the management, development, and expansion of medical facilities, including physical medicine offices; optometric offices; dental practices; and alternative medicine facilities. She also specializes in individualized coaching and has coordinated and managed numerous corporate and health-related events.
Her success as a business leader has led to her popularity as a guest speaker at numerous speaking engagements. She has visited the University of Pittsburgh and Robert Morris University, speaking on entrepreneurship and what it takes to be successful in today’s market. She was invited to speak to the Pennsylvania Focus Group at their Spring 2008 meeting, held during the International Vision Expo in New York City. The Pennsylvania Optometric Partnership for Progress (POPP) welcomed Lori to their August 2006 meeting at Seven Springs Mountain Resort. Lori also participates on the panel of the Practice Masters Incorporated Caribbean Workshop.
From 1990 to 1995, prior to founding Profitable Practice Strategies, Lori served as President of Med-Pro International, coordinating medical services for the Saudi Arabian Embassy. Lori currently divides her time between her Pennsylvania, California, and Florida offices to keep up with the demand for her services.
Lori was an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year nominee in 2002, and a finalist in 2003. She has served as a Board Trustee for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society since 1994 and has also served as a mentor for Big Brothers & Big Sisters for over 20 years.
Lori is a former dance and cheerleading coach and still enjoys judging regional competitions. Her pastimes include traveling with her husband, Ken; gardening; interior design; and playing with her two dogs, Fernando and Zoe.
Lori’s future goal is to establish a nonprofit organization to help women in need build self esteem and re-establish themselves.
